School's History

This school was open on 28th of May 1956, with 58 pupils and only two teachers. The first building was built by the villagers at that time. The first headmaster of this school was Mr. Hussin Bin Hassan and assisted by En. Ahmad bin Hj Zainuri.

On July 1956, a committee was setup and gave a name to this school that is ‘Sekolah Kebangsaan Sri Setia Jaya’. On 10th of August 1956, the building of this school was officiated by the District Education Officer of that time, that is Mr. Bidin bin Login.

On 1966, the building of this school has been added with a building built with a brick and consist with more rooms, with 3 rooms for classes, headmaster office and a bathroom.

On 1976, two storey building was built with five more classes, office, teacher’s room, library, bathroom and a canteen.

Now, its 2010, with more than 600 pupils, more than 40 teachers, non-teachers staff, a new building are in a way to be used by next year.
