Program with Singapore Students
On 7th of June 2010, about two months ago, a group of pupils from SKSSJ, Year 5 Bijak was chosen to participate in a program with Singapore students, from Yew Tee Primary School.
From the information gather, the pupils of Yew Tee were having a program at Tanjung Sutera resort, a sport leadership program and wanted to have a collaboration with the school nearby to participate in a program they did. It was a good move as the pupils from both school able to meet, interact and know each other through this program. The pupils of SKSSJ were very excited to meet, and involved in the activities held. They said that they learn so many things from the program.
From the teacher involved said that they hope it will increase the pupils interest in learning English more as they found difficulties to interact with their counterpart because of the language barrier. Thus, realizing the needs to improve their English.
Various sport activities were held and the pupils were having a lot of fun during activities. Thank you Yew Tee Primary school for inviting us to the program.
Parents Teacher Meetings
On Friday, 2nd July 2010, SKSSJ held a Parents Teacher meeting. It was held as an opportunity for parents to meet the class teacher of their children to talk about their children matters. They can exchange views why their children unable to obtai the desired results and thus trying harder at improving their children performances at school.
The program started at 8 am, where all the parents needed to go to the hall and there, the headmaster gave a briefing about school performances of last examination. Then, the related teachers gave an overview of overall performances and what should be done in order for the next examination, the performances of pupils could be enhance. People said that pictures worth a thousand meaning and here are some pictures of how the etachers of this school meeting and explaining about their pupils condition to the parents.
